At Twigs with Beans, sensational flavours along with some fabulous aroma set the tasting pace in this quaint restaurant situated in the tranquil yet buzzing surroundings of Harfield Village, Claremont, Cape Town.
Bespoke Chef, Edward Serfontein, has returned to the breakfast trade and has recently teamed up with restaurateurs Percy and Nyaki Tshabangu.
Previously at Con Brio Bistro, Edward has brought his multitalented skills to Harfield Village and has taken over the running of local gem Twigs with Beans.
Among some of the exciting changes implemented is a brand new menu featuring some crispy fresh salads, mouth watering sandwiches and various delectable breakfast items to entertain each and every palate.
Another reason for Twigs’s popularity, is the fact that they’re open Thursday and Friday evenings, which gives Edward more creative space to truly live out his passion for food and to serve only the best in cuisine to his guests, whom often include tourists from all over the world!
The evening menu offers a lovely 3-course set @R165pp that changes on a weekly basis.
Edward claims that “by changing the menu on a regular basis suits perfectly, as we get to play with new dishes every week and everything is freshly made, from homemade pastas to tarte tatin for dessert.”
Although, they don’t have a liquor licence, patrons are free to bring their own wine which has been a huge draw card in the area.
And last but certainly not least, the rich aromas of Tribe coffee permeates the overall ambience surrounding Twigs and is served all day long, often claimed by locals as the best in Harfield.
